Long Island

I stayed at a little gem of a resort called the Palm Bay Resort on Long Island, in the Whitsundays, Australia for 5 days in 2017. The resort isn't easy to get to but it is worth it. The trip consisted of flying into Hamilton Island airport, then catching a small boat over to the island. The Palm Bay Resort is the only resort on Long Island.

Hamilton Island

I saw Hamilton Island very briefly before enbarking on my adventure to Long Island.

Palm Bay Resort, Long Island

Upon arrival to the Palm Bay Resort by boat, I was greeted with an incredible view of the beautiful private cove and Balinese-inspired beach huts. I could not have been any further away from home, and it really felt like it! There was a lovely pool which was perfect for relaxing by during the day. In the evening I would enjoy my beach hut hammock with a book and be greeted by the odd Corella bird. There wasn't much to do at the resort other than relaxing, sitting by the pool, lounging on the beach, perfecting the 'bikini selfie', taking one of the three walks, or searching for butterflies! There were some excursions which could be booked from the resort which I never booked onto. I stayed at the resort for 5 days which was a nice amount of time.
