Africa

Africa is the second largest continent, and is made up of 54 culturally-diverse countries. Africa is often nicknamed the "Motherland" as it's the oldest inhabited continent on Earth, being the birthplace of the humankind. I've never been lucky enough to visit Africa, however, there are a few countries there which are on my bucketlist! The countries I would like to visit include Tanzania, Zambia and the Seychelles.

Tanzania

Tanzania is home to three world-renowned tourist destinations - Africa's highest mountain - Mount Kilimanjaro, the wildlife-rich Serengeti National Park, and the pristine white sands and turquoise waters of Zanzibar. Tanzania would be th ultimate dream holiday destination for anyone.

Mount Kilimanjaro

Mount Kilimanjaro is a dormant volcano in Tanzania. It's the highest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain above sea level on the planet.

Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in northern Tanzania that stretches over 14,763 km2 (5,700 square miles). The area is home to an abundance of wildlife, including the "big five" - the lion, the leopard, the elephant, African buffalo and the rhino.

Lamai Serengeti is an afantastic lodge. It is of the highest quality and boasts some of the best service in the region

&Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

Situated in a remote corner of scenic Lake Manyara National Park, the &Beyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is a luxury safari lodge boasts romantic treehouse suites set in a mahogany forest.

Zanzibar

Zanzibar is a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa. Zanzibar is a paradise, home to white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, making it a dream holiday destination.

&Beyond Mnemba Island

Located just off the north-east coast of Zanzibar, Mnemba Island offers a private, barefoot island escape — an effortless extension to a safari in Tanzania.

Zambia

Zambia, in southern Africa, is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife, with many parks and safari areas. On its border with Zimbabwe is the world famous Victoria Falls.

The Royal Linvingstone Victoria Falls Zambie Hotel is an elegant colonial hotel on the banks of the Zambezi River. With a spectacular setting in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, wildlife roam freely around the resort. The hotel is located just ten minutes away from Victoria Falls.

The Seychelles

The Seychelles is often seen as paradise on Earth. It is an archipelago of 115 islands, located in the Indian Ocean, just off East Africa. It's home to spectacular beaches, nature reserves, and the critically endangered giant Aldabra tortoises.

Aldabra Tortoises

One of the world's largest land tortoises, Aldabra tortoises can reach sizes of up to 550 pounds and ages of up to 150 years old.

Anse Source d'Argent, La Digue

Anse Source d'Argent is regularly voted one of the world's most beautiful beaches and appears on so many influencers' alluring Instagram feeds. It really is a beauty; its pure white sand framed at either end by huge granite boulders and lapped by brightly coloured water.

La Digue Island Lodge

The La Digue Island Lodge is known as one of the best hotels in the Seychelles. The charming hotel is made up of beachfront chalets, located on the enviable location of Anse Reunion beach.

These are the places I aim to visit on a future trip to Tanzania, Zanzibar, Zambia and the Seychelles.
