Sedona

Sedona is often described as one of America's most beautiful places. Almost like a city on Mars, with its towering red rocks and jagged sandstone buttes, the scenery in Sedona is fantastic. I stayed in Sedona for 4 nights during a solo adventure in September 2025, but I wish I'd had longer there. Sedona is famous for being one of the most spiritual places in the USA, and is well-known for its 'vortex' energy. The tow attracts a large number of visitors, often for activities such as yoga, meditation and hiking the trailheads. I would recommend for anyone to visit Sedona.

Arabella Hotel Sedona

The Arabella Hotel Sedona is an independent boutique 3 star hotel, located in the heart of Red Rock Country. I had a wonderful 4 night stay at the Arabella Hotel in September 2025. The hotel has wonderful, spacious rooms, several swimming pools, bikes to hire, a restaurant, sunset viewing area, and live music evenings. The hotel also offers guided stargazing nights to spot the Milky Way.

Mole Restaurant

Mole is a wonderful restaurant located at the Arabella Hotel. Mole features a decor adorned with chandeliers, and an outdoor terrace with fantastic views of Sedona. The restaurant serves delicious Mexican cuisine. I had a fantastic meal at Mole which consisted of the spicy chicken enchiladas, cabbage slaw and potatas bravas.

Margs Draw Trail

One of the trails which was accessible from the Arabella Hotel was Margs Draw. I took a little walk along the Margs Draw Trail during my stay and was very glad I did. The views of the red rocks from the trail were fantastic.

Sedona Highlights Tour

The Sedona Highlights Tour was a good tour to take to see some of the main tourist attractions. My tour stopped off at the Sedona Airport Lookout and at the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Looking at the landscape around the Chapel of the Holy Cross, it is easy to see how Sedona became an inspiration behind Frontierland for Walt Disney.

Uptown Sedona

At the north end of Sedona, just before State Route 89A reaches Oak Creek Canyon, is a small area filled with restaurants, galleries and shops, known as Uptown Sedona, or the 'Main Street'.

Cowboy Club

The Cowboy Club is a relaxed steakhouse located in Uptown Sedona. I had a delicious beef burger, with ranch beans and seasoned fries at the Cowboy Club during my visit to Sedona.

Crescent Moon Ranch

The Crescent Moon Ranch is a great place for a safe, short hike and to have a picnic. It offers a peaceful and scenic setting within Oak Creek Canyon, with iconic views of Cathedral Rock. Many locals visit the Crescent Moon Ranch to swim in the creek.

What I missed out on.....

I spent a wonderful 4 days in Sedona, but it wasn't enough. If were to return to Sedona on another trip, I would like to stay at the Enchantment Resort.

Enchantment Resort

Enchantment Resort is a luxury resort located within Boynton Canyon in Sedona, Arizona.
